恐怖封面失败的原因，往往与人们预想的相反：展示得太多。下面的提示词以克制为基础：一处细节，大片黑暗，再配上让画面上方三分之一保持平静的构图，好让你的书名有地方安放。
恐怖封面如何构图
- 主体只有一个，绝不是两个。多出第二件物品，就会把恐惧感变成一个场景，而场景会自己把一切说破。
- 让上方三分之一保持安静。那块空间属于书名，画面一旦把它填满，就会和书名文字打架。
- 光线只来自一个光源。两个方向的光会显得制作精良，而恐怖要的是唯一一束不对劲的光。
- 衰败胜过血腥。腐烂、潮湿、灰尘和磨损在Amazon缩略图里依然看得清，血迹却会变成一团褐色污渍。
